Our Inspectors make sure slabs get great attention as they have their own individual specifications and are designed dependent upon the soil report and specific site conditions. Our Inspectors make sure to check and ensure that the slab meets the adheres to the engineers design and the Australian Standard 2870 for Residential Slabs & Footings.

HOUSE FRAMING INSPECTIONS

THIS HAS TO BE STRUCTURALLY COMPLIANT 

This is ideally the stage where lots of issues arise and this inspection needs utmost attention to detail.

Our Inspectors ensure that the frame is built as per all relevant Australian Standards and in accordance with the structural drawings.

  • Top plates are straightness
  • All Noggins
  • Detailed Wall bracing installation

  • Check the use of correct timber/materials as per plans

  • All Rooms squareness

PRE- PREPLASTER

FINAL OPPORTUNITY TO CHECK THE WALLS & ROOF FRAME

Our Inspectors ensure the trades (Electrical and Plumbing) have installed all pipes and cables as per latest plans, and the building is ready for plaster. Since this is Not a mandatory Building Surveyor inspection, many builders and trades try to hide  their  workmanship and potential defects.

The items we cover can include:

  • All cornice lines straight
  • All wall and ceiling insulation properly installed
  • All windows installed as per Australian Window Association recommendations
  • All wet areas have additional noggins 
  • Make sure to check that any outstanding issues from Frame Inspection have been rectified
  • All wall frames are straight
  • All corners are straight and nailed together

FIXING AND WATERPROOFING

BY FAR THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL INSPECTIONS
 

Be Aware of water damage in the new houses.

Home New Owners don’t want to do this stage and regret it as it is in your properties best interest to ensure the waterproofing is completed to a very professional standard. Although a Non-Mandatory Building Surveyor Inspection the problem starts with water.
